Following the devastating storms that hit Tasmania recently on the 10th of May 2018, many properties in and around Hobart suffered severe flood damage. At the request of some of our valued insurer clients, our Linx Restoration Services team, based in Victoria, jumped into action to help out. Mick Barry, State Manager Linx Restoration, quickly gathered together a Catastrophe (CAT) team made up of some of our experienced restoration technicians and valued partner trades. Within hours, the team had filled a number of our trucks with restoration equipment and materials, hopped on the Spirit of Tasmania and made their way to Hobart to help out with the restoration efforts.
Over the last few weeks the teams have been working on the ground to assist with the large volume of claims and have set up a temporary base in Hobart. With administrative assistance from a specially set up Linx CAT Team based in our offices in Melbourne, this team are going to continue to work with our clients, Insurers and Adjusters alike, to get through this event.
