The alarming events of the Lacrosse apartment building fire in Melbourne and Grenfell Tower in London have targeted the use of flammable cladding in the construction industry. Our Major Projects Team at Bay Building Services completed the large make safe works following the large fire at the apartment building in Melbourne’s Docklands in November 2014. Bay Building Group Director, Julian Gerrand, joined the panel at the recent Vic Claims Discussion Group for the engaging discussion on the rise of cladding claims in the insurance industry and its impact on underwriting those risks.
